During times of personal transition and especially at mid-life, it is sometimes difficult to find devotional material or meditations that are meaningful. When so much in your life is being called into question, including the existence of God, it's hard to know what to read, what to say or even, if there is anyone listening. This section provides weekly meditations that you can use as a starting place for reflecting on your faith journey. The first several meditations were actually published in a Lutheran devotional called 'The Word in Season.' I had accepted the assignment to write them months before I knew I'd be leaving the church. By the time I submitted them, though, I knew I was leaving, so they are written from my new perspective, keeping in mind, of course, my obligation to the people in the congregations who would be reading them. I'm including these meditations because I've had strong positive response to them. I hope they and the others will be a blessing for you.
